Meet Jason Shires, one of ILEA Napa-Sonoma’s newest member and the CEO of Quantum Party Productions. QPP provides DJ services, lighting, photo booths and party rentals for events. While a typical day for Jason involves running the day to day business and managing his team, he is still very much involved on the event side of the business. You will find him doing everything from purchasing inventory to being a DJ at an event, jumping in to serve as a photo booth attendant, designing lighting applications, and planning weddings. When needed, you might also catch Jason driving Quantum Party Production’s trucks to deliver and pick up rentals.
Jason got started in the event industry when he was attempting to produce a rap album at Harvest Moon Studios with Michael Peterson. The studio time was starting to get a little much so Michael suggested that Jason work for his DJ company, Abbie Rhoade Music Services, to help pay for it. It was definitely a win-win for both. While it was a bit of on the job training back, Jason picked it up quickly and really enjoyed it.
The most gratifying part of Jason’s job is seeing the finished product. He loves seeing a design he created come to life, watching his team facilitate plans for an event and being proud of the results and the look on his client’s faces when they realize that his team was able to execute and deliver their vision exactly as planned.
Jason joined ILEA Napa-Sonoma five months ago because he loves the vibe of Wine Country and visit frequently. He wanted to make real connections with other event professionals and establish great long term relationships. Through Quantum Party Productions, Jason offers a unique service and is looking forward to becoming a trustworthy resource for our community.
While he hasn’t had a chance, as a member, to attend ILEA in-person events, he is looking forward to the potential and possibilities. It’s exciting for him to think about the new experiences he will have in the future, the people he will meet and the places he will discover because of ILEA Napa-Sonoma.
