Carina’s career truly launched when a strategic management plan she wrote led her to pause her studies at Cal Poly to join a team of entrepreneurs developing a lifestyle brand headquartered in Big Sur, CA. For two years Carina worked on designing the company’s brand experience, building, educating and training the team as well as developing the various properties involved in the flagship location. The project included the revival and development of the famous Hamlet Property off Highway 1 (farm to table restaurant, wine bar, event spaces, gardens, gift store & catering via a mobile kitchen) as well as the acquisition and development of over 400 acres adjacent to Hearst Castle Ranch (an executive retreat, eco-incubator and farm).
While the beauty and tranquility of the Central Coast had it’s charms, the lure of the vibrant entrepreneurial and thriving event culture in San Francisco led Carina to move North in 2013. Once in San Francisco, she completed her thesis in experience design; specifically on how the transition from a service based economy to an experience economy has impacted the hospitality industry. With a degree checked off on her list of to do’s, she quickly immersed herself in the city’s multifaceted events industry.
Now, after a year of working as account executive with the amazing Entire Productions team, an entertainment booking agency headquartered in the Financial District, she is enjoying her recent promotion to Director of Experience Design. In her new role she will focus on elevating Entire Productions’ experiential offerings while concurrently continuing to work directly with event & meeting planners, DMC’s and corporations in matching them with the best talent for their events.
Her involvement on the board of directors for ILEA Napa/Sonoma, her co-chair position for the San Francisco MPI Chapter (MPI’s largest chapter) Gala, collaboration with the League of Creative Interventionists, as well as continuous involvement and attendance at various festivals (including Burning Man, Lightning in a Bottle and Coachella, to name a few) enables her to stay at pulse of the entertainment industry, ear to the ground, spotting and identifying new trends to present to planners looking for the newest and freshest ideas.
